Privacy Policy for MyBikes.App
Effective Date: 2026-04-27
Thank you for using MyBikes.App. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use MyBikes.App:
- User Authentication Data: We use Microsoft Entra ID to authenticate users. This may include your name, email address, and user ID as provided by your Microsoft or Google account.
- Device & Usage Data: We may collect device type, operating system, app version, and general usage information to improve performance and user experience.
- Backup & Restore Data: The app stores and manages your bike-related app data in Microsoft Azure when you use the cloud backup and restore feature.
- Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (including the Google Advertising ID / GAID on Android) and app usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
- Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics to measure app usage patterns, screen views, feature interactions, performance trends, and crash diagnostics. Firebase processes event data plus device and app metadata under Google’s privacy terms. To opt out of analytics at the device level, adjust your device’s ad settings or see the opt-out options in Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Backup & Restore Activity Records: We use MongoDB to store backup and restore activity records for cloud backup operations, including your user ID, activity type, timestamp, and backup metadata needed to operate and audit the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Authenticate and manage your identity within the app.
- Store and restore your app-specific data in the cloud.
- Improve user experience, reliability, and security.
- Serve ads via Google AdMob (subject to your consent).
- Comply with legal obligations and protect user rights.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties.
We only share data with:
- Microsoft Azure: For secure storage of your backup data.
- Google AdMob: For ad delivery (which may include personalized or non-personalized ads based on your consent).
- Google Firebase: For analytics and performance monitoring.
- MongoDB: For storing backup and restore activity records related to your cloud backup account.
All third parties are required to comply with privacy laws and our data protection standards.
4. Consent and User Control
If you are located in the EU, UK, or California, you will be prompted to provide or deny consent for personalized ads.
You can:
- Manage ad consent from the app settings privacy section when Google’s privacy options form is available.
- Use the Do Not Sell setting in the app to record your California advertising preference.
- Delete your cloud backup account from within the app or contact us by email if you need help with an access, deletion, or correction request.
- Review how Google handles analytics and advertising data at Google’s Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
- Local app data stored on your device persists until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
- Authentication data received by the app (your name, email address, and user ID) is used to operate the cloud backup service and is removed when you delete your account.
- Backup data is retained in Azure until you delete it in the app or request account deletion.
- Backup and restore activity records (MongoDB) are retained while your cloud backup account remains active and are deleted when account deletion succeeds.
- Account deletion requests are completed within 30 days. Requests may be processed immediately or queued for retry if a dependent service is temporarily unavailable.
- Firebase Analytics and AdMob data are retained according to Google’s policies. Google’s default Firebase Analytics retention is typically up to 14 months, subject to their configuration settings.
6. Security
We take security seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data.
7. Children’s Privacy
MyBikes.App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar privacy laws to:

- Right to Opt-Out: Manage advertising consent and related privacy choices through the controls available in the app and through Google’s privacy controls.
- EU/UK users: Reopen the ad consent privacy options form from the app settings privacy section when available.
- California users: Use the Do Not Sell option in the app settings privacy section.
